Zoological Garden at Jaipur
It is situated in the Ram
Niwas garden. It is a century old and is among the oldest in the country.
Set in a landscaped garden, it has a good number of birds and animals and
also houses a famous crocodile breeding ground. The famous
Zoological Garden in Jaipur provides you with a unique opportunity to
watch fascinating wildlife from close quarters. More popularly known as 'Jaipur
Zoo', the Zoological Garden is located within the expansive complex of Ram
Niwas Bagh. Visit to the zoo is allowed on 6 days of the week except Tuesdays
from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during summers and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during winters.
Nearly 71 species of different birds and animals from all over the world can
be seen at the Zoological Garden in Jaipur. The Zoological Garden is not only
known for its ferocious animals but is also home to a large variety of some
of the most beautiful and rare species of birds from across the world. A separate
section within the garden is exclusively meant for birds that include ducks,
goose, white peacock, chattering lorry, parrot and pheasant.
